InPaint 3.1

Inpaint reconstructs the selected image area from the pixel near the area boundary. Inpaint may be used to remove undesirable objects from still images. Delete any unwanted object from your photo, such as extra power-line, people, text... The program will automatically inpaint the selected area to erase it.

It is alarmingly simple to use. Draw a selection around the object you wish to remove from the picture, and run smart remove selection. Inpaint will fill the selection area with intelligently generated texture drawn from the surrounding image data.

the "Guide lines" bit of the tutorial needs to be updated

The Tutorial shows the insertion of Guide Lines but the actual tool doesn't appear or require these to be placed onto the image. Either I'm missing that bit of the program or the Tutorial needs updating, I think! It would also be good if the...

For the person asking about mouse centering, a couple of programs that used to do that - don't anymore.

see better tools for selecting, such as a 'lasso', 'outline fill' and some constraining tools for straight, circular object selection.

Needs a mouse middle key to move the picture after Zooming in. Easier than side bars.
